# Phases of practice

{% embed url="<https://interbeing.wistia.com/medias/oi90njfzki>" %}

Each **social meditation session** follows **three phases**:

1. **Setup Phase**
   * The **Facilitator explains** the practice, gives a **demonstration**, and **answers questions**.
2. **Practice Phase**
   * Everyone, including the **Facilitator, joins in** to do the practice.
3. **Reflection Phase**
   * Participants **share** how the practice went.
   * If time allows, people can **share more insights** or **ask follow-up questions**.
   * The **Facilitator concludes** the session when the time is up.
